A way to release all my pain
Little did I ever think to know
My words would fall like rain

One poem dropped from my lips
Then soon became ninety-two
A rhyme created with all my dips
As relief and release I pursued

Tears became the solace of fate
Words release the drama within
Feelings of hope chase away hate
Each poem lets the healing begin

Just when I think I've written the last
Another buds deep within my soul
So many words fighting for my grasp
They heat my heart from the cold

Within me, many emotions crying out
A story that surely must be told
So many ways to scream and shout
With words, my strength grows bold

My poetry contains my dream scape
They may be hard for others to read
Peaceful silence around me they drape
My heart gives them creativity to feed

I hope to keep the door open to write
As the words crowd to escape my mind
Through them, I found day from night
For each one leaves the heartache behind

Happy Anniversary to the poet within me
May my poems bring what they must do
Through my words, I share all I hope to be
From my soul, I sing all my dreams for you [comments] => 3 [counter] => 97 [topic] => 69 [informant] => dvtpdw [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => poets )
