that never came
i dreamed of dreams
martyred in vain
i dreamed of self-destruction
an old, forgotten friend
i dreamed of true beauty
and true beauty is the end
i dreamed of endless hate parades
marching through my mind
i dreamed of all i thought i had
somehow left behind
i dreamed of betrayals, so important to me
how could i have been so blind
i dreamed of hate that stole my life
slowly, over time
i dreamed of the pain of you slipping through my fingers
like sand made of broken glass
i dreamed of my prison of memories
i dreamed of going mad within the past
i dreamed of endless sadness
spreading like the sea
i dreamed of you and your love
drowning, swallowing me
i dreamed of every hole in me
everything i lack
i dreamed of personified paranoia
i dreamed of a million knives in my back
i dreamed of hope, newborn and pure
i dreamed the fear of it's stillbirth
i dreamed a dream that wasn't a dream
i dreamed of a mushroom-cloudy earth
i dreamed of everything and i dreamed of nothing
i dreamed of you, my love, my friend
i dreamed (finally) that sweet dark dream of death
and i dreamed of true beauty
and true beauty is the end [comments] => 1 [counter] => 292 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Cancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Well written ... your dreams are very dark .. but realistic.
