Were I but to touch
The tear of
Nature's Essence as it falls
From the deepest red of
Love's full bloom,
Then have I known what it is
To Feel,
To Breathe,
To Sigh.

Hi Anna,
''Proper words in proper places, make the
true definition of style.'' (Jonathan Swift).
Ever so brief, ever so eloquent, and ever so
distingue!

Succinct, but powerfully- compelling poem. Although I realise that is wasn't likely to be your intention, it drew me to the saying: 'Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved.'
In hindsight, the tears are water to cultivate passion. |
