Broken Truth

Contributed by shallow on Wednesday, 3rd October 2012 @ 01:05:16 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

i saw your face
the pulses stir within me
endless doors of sorrow
silent memories turn the keys

i give in to the heartache
veins of stone curse inside me
close ur eyes to see through me
my soul is not yours to take

do u see the world in different colors
do u see the world in black and gray
alone in your thoughts dead whispers wither
and deep in my smile the curses die to pray

i give in to the voices
haunted dreams come to wake me
close your mind to lie beside me
my spirit is not yours to break

the roads disappear to endless rain
six feet deep, sands of time betray
the key turns to find the locks of pain
as my heartbeat fades to shades of gray

i give in to the scars
hollow night comes to save me
find ur life to live without me
my ashes are not yours to take

Hey, you say you haven't written in a while. This is a great start to writing again. Well done.
