A quality of beauty, intensity of emotion.
An expression of feelings, a poets devotion.

More than just words, that occasionally rhyme.
More than technique, this art needs time.

Time for one, to dig so very deep.
Moment for that soul to bare and weep.

So when I think ‘poetry’, this is what I think of.
Not ‘technique’, but the labour of love.

Love for my art, my words of release.
World of my own, tranquility and peace.

So when you correct, my punctuation and grammar.
‘Improving’ my flaws, you critical shammer.

When you amend my foolish blunders.
Maybe you should consider, these words hold wonders.

Spitting out words, so vicious and bitter.
Words of no purpose, a babble, a witter.

I continue to share, my rhythm of flaws.
A rhythm you will not break, with your rhythm of laws.

So criticises my friend, if that fulfils your needs.
As you will not disheartening, my art of deeds.

Your first verse says it all, now that's beautiful poetry, straight from the heart full of soul beautifully expressed and connects leaving the warmth of recognition.
