[hometext] => This is a derived from a poem called Promises I read and connected with.
[bodytext] => . MAGIC WORD
The word promise on the visor of your old pick-up truck. Guess it was written when you were felling guilty down on your luck. We found that magic word and knew it was meant for us. We were so happy we thought we’d bust. Just like magic we had a father we could trust. Our Christmas play, Halloween all my birthdays too On graduation day where were you. You didn't remember, oh where’d that promise go. These memories return to hurt and haunt me so. Mother’s crying tonight everything’s ugly nothing right. Mending broken fences all her life. Where’s the promise gave to her A broken family left in your wake. A family is a promise, another for you to break. We found that magic word and knew it was meant for us. We were so happy we thought we’d bust. Just like magic we had a father we could trust. So where is the promise, if always broken? Mean what you say as spoken. Seasons or passing years, these empty promises hold on to there tears. Over and over they play in broken hearted promises games.
