There's something missing...

Contributed by xHeathenx on Monday, 10th September 2012 @ 04:08:58 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

A love once wanted
A love once wished
Desired more than anything
Cherished before a reality

I move from soul to soul
In attempts to reconnect
To give life meaning yet again
You serve as a prime template

You and I click in the ways I ask
It's not artificial, it's all natural
Yet for some reason I can't explain
I'm still left numb and alone

I hold you in my arms
I feel joy when we kiss
I trust you in ways
That I could trust no other

Yet for whatever reason
I feel no love, no inner bliss
I feel not what I've had for others
No swelling innocent excitement

No urge to better myself
No constant contemplation
To claim you as my own
No completion of my soul

It's saddening, because this I feel
Is something that I can have
That's much more likely real
And yet no urge to seize it

If this is how you truly feel, I highly recommend that you spend some time figuring out why. Often we feel alone not because we are not with someone that we love, but because we are lost within our own minds, and are scared to come out. I think that no love is complete until each person is sure of themselves and their feelings. I'm sure you know all this, and are pondering on it, but its just my two cents :)
