Fresh, free as it begins its start
Contains a spark that slowly burns
Glowing brighter as it ever learns

The heart entwines with the mind
Strides forward, leaving the past behind
Future won't reveal what's due to come
Present exerts power as the dominate one

Fingers splayed toward the glowing sun
Eyes searching for what should be done
Dreams give us the ability to hope
Truth gives us the reality to cope

Sun has hidden behind the moon
Feeling stuck, no relief coming soon
Can't find one reasonable thought
Seems there aren't answers to be sought

The thin outer shell has given way
There appears no hope in this day
Within each there lies one great seed
Its growth depends upon the need

The spark glows with each belief
Understand, there is always relief
The spark lights the truth of your soul
Joins your heart to make it whole

Blow softly upon that little spark
It will brighten up the darkest dark
As its flame rises, just believe
Love's there, waiting to be received [comments] => 2 [counter] => 117 [topic] => 19 [informant] => dvtpdw [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => InspirationalPoems )

I find myself wanting to pick out a favorite line but they're all great! How about this, thems some great lines. :) Love the metaphor.

I'd love to be able to believe that last line. Hope it's true for everyone.

Thank you.

Tim

What a beautiful poem you have weaved together
I can close my eyes and imagine it. Line for line
It spoke nothing but the truth.
Kudos for a beautifully written poem
