Grief
|
The Years are passing by,
And I am still the same;
My sons die leaving me,
But I alone am to blame.
To see the world change
By my weary eyes;
Forgotten in solitude, silence
Vanishes only from my cries.
I am part of the world;
One of its shadows who will...
Live by it waiting;
But if only I could kill...
Or will you keep me
For eternity?
The world will even die...
But I will give it no pity.
I shall lie down
And die by my sorrow---
And maybe then, I
Can fly.
