I go for a bagel on the table top, but it's hard as a rock.
I try for a piece of cake instead, but it's all gone.
My stomach ends up with nothing inside it.
Nothing ever goes my way.

I want to go places where I only want to go.
I want to go places with ones I enjoy being with.
Instead, I get dragged to places I hate going.
Dragged along with people I don't want to be with at that moment.
Nothing ever goes my way.

I want to be with people who make me smile and laugh.
I want to be with people with people who accept me for who I am.
Instead, I get to be with people who makes me feel worthless.
People who try to change me into a person who I don't want to be.
Nothing ever goes my way.

I want to live in a world where I can do whatever I choose to do.
I want to live in a world where I can have whatever I choose to have.
Not have people tell me I can't do this or that.
Instead, I have no freedom and never get what I ask for.

As long as your being true to your emotions, don't worry about how your writing is. Just keep at it and let your emotions guide your pen and you'll be a great writer.

I can definitely relate to this poem, I have been there so many times. We live in a world where things won't go our way a lot of the time, but unfortunately, that world is the only one we've got. We've got to remember to keep at it and striving to be the best we can be and to surround ourselves with people who bring out the best in us.

Keep up the writing, I hope you can build a world for yourself where you feel more comfortable and have things work out the way you'd like.

Wow!!! reminds me of when I was young (actually it doesn't) but I understand your words. The question is are you writing to vent or to get better. In life we often do not get what we want but maybe we can compromise.
