The ground rules were quite simple
Still you choose the path of strife
Your actions causing me to bristle

No respect for the life I wish for him
No thought for the damage you cause
So angry, don't know where to begin
My emotions on an extreme seesaw

I've protected this grandson of mine
Try to make his life somewhat normal
You waltz in, break the bonds of time
Sorry, you've made the greatest bungle

You married his grandfather, no blood ties
It give you no rights, no permission to talk
You know nothing of the past, hurtful lies
Still upon this path, you choose to walk

No thought of how it would affect him
You feel yourself above me and our life
You talked, stirred up trouble on a whim
Brought back memories of those two lowlifes

Your words carry a price you will pay
No excuse for what you created now
Listen closely and understand what I say
His soul's destruction I will not allow

I'll clean up this mess your idiocy created
Bring him back to the joy and hope you took
Wipe away the tears, keep the fear abated
Hold steady the world that you shook

Some words of wisdom that you should heed
A child's happiness, love, care is all that matters
You should only want to insure they will succeed
Encase them in wall that hate can't shatter [comments] => 2 [counter] => 127 [topic] => 6 [informant] => dvtpdw [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AngryPoetry )
