I cannot write for fear that with it you will leave me

So I packed my bags closed my heart and waited to catch the next train to eternity
Buried my face in my hands as I count the ways
I screamed a loud
The only words I knew leaving me
Escaping me
All I could muster was that sound
And I can still hear it now
The crack
I can still see it fall
The break
As everything we built tumbled dramatically to the floor
And Ive held you a thousand times
But never like this
And you’ve kissed me a million more
But never like this
Bitter sweet melodies harmonize with the bitter sweet memories
You are all I know
I don’t want to escape you
And I can’t, remember the day I sold my soul to your body
But I remember there were words exchanged
The moment I vowed to give myself to you
The moment you promised to give of yourself in return
Blood sweat and tears mixed that day to create something so real
A moment now resembling a grain
And I will forever walk on the shore of our memories
And I will forever sing songs of our love
And I will forever communicate to your deaf ears
And my curves will forever belong to your touch
And I will forever wonder about the swans on the lake and if they only come out at night when they know we’re watching
I will forever wonder if they think of us too and if they wonder if we’re still an us
And my body will forever yearn for yours
And your voice will forever linger on my neck tickling my spine
And I’ll revisit the grave of our love just to remind myself that it was real
Just to remind myself that we, we were real
