Baby im from West Brom, West Brom

Baby im from west brom, west brom
these streets will make you feel dirty
the views bloody hurt me
live a life full of adversity
this place brings out the worst in me
I don't know anyone who's ever been to university

Voience in shopping centres
boozing in bus shelters
ruined houses you wouldn't dare enter
buckets are required when rain pelters
you've got no future and nothing inspires you
society screams your inadequate, not concerned if that's true
I only drink, smoke and fight cos' that's what my dad used to do

Baby im from West Brom, West Brom
these streets will make you feel dirty
the views bloody hurt me
do you know anyone who's been to university?

gardens are a tip
we're all on housing benefit
hoovering, ironing, scrubbing and washing up
womankinds perennial battle against dust
the minor tragedies of sour milk, stale bread and broken clocks
grotesque high streets full of fast food joints and betting shops

Baby Im from West Brom, West Brom
the views really hurt me
I really wanted to go to university
they all laughed at me

The poem itself is very well written and has a really nice flow. The meaning of it is deep, and the issues addressed are such a problem in todays world. Well done to fight against a fixed fate, and make your own destiny. My thoughts are with you.
