Yet we live our lives with such restraint for fear of failing
Dying since we were born we must seize the oppurtunity for what means most to us
For once we are gone what do we leave behind other than dust and bone
The world goes on but time shall forget our story

Great subject dear friend. Indeed we are but a sand grain in time, but God is the Master of time. free to glorify the little sand grain.
I love the line
"we must seize the oppurtunity for what means most to us>"
If we do that however short our life span be - there is no waste.
Thanks for sharing this eminent topic in poetry with us.
Elizabeth

Your poem was very deep in thought and very well written. I truly enjoyed reading it.
