Much is between us, too much to tell,
I can't express emotions in cohesive thought,
But from this I learned alot.
I learned sometimes you need to kiss the rain,
Put your fears away, ignore the pain.
Even if it all falls apart,
Living life is the real art.
Sometimes you need to jump on in,
Heart and soul, love's not a sin.
And when your trampled on the ground,
This world's a funny thing, time keeps spinning 'round.
The greatest gift you can ever give,
Is love; and a shared life to live.
And though it didn't work for you and I,
I can smile through the tears I cry.
Know now that I'm letting you go,
And even though I'm terrified to show;
My heart is breaking itself in two,
And the bigger half I give to you.
Please keep it as a symbol of myself,
I know it hurts, my little Nazgul elf,
The relationship has grown to its end,
But you'll always be, my forever friend.

The first tear already fell,
Much is between us, too much to tell,

This was beautiful. Recently my best friend and I... we said farewell. And it is extremely hard because I have fallen in love with him. But sometimes you just need to hold your head up high and smile.... even if it kills you.

At last a believable "love" story from a real person. I've been through this situation myself and taken the hard decision.
I get so fed up with these sloppy sentimental
compositions. "Blood and soul tear jerkers"
beautifully composed, expertly written, deliberately unreal and very popular.
I'd rather have yours any day. Equally well written and vey real.
The poem that refers to my parallel situation is called "The way we were" if you would like to see how things turned out for me. |

Oh wow... I never read this one. Must've missed it when it was on the home page. It's so beautiful! I love the third and fourth stanzas! I also learned in recent months that sometimes you just have to jump on in. That's when beautiful things happen! Even if it doesn't work out, you know you loved with all your heart. Like that poem I wrote... Everything That Starts With A Smile blah blah blah. Anyways I love this poem! Cheer up, sweetie!

Auh that was just lovely, very touching to the heart. It's not always easy to acknowlege the sad truth of reality but you have faced it head on & took all the good with you, fare play to you. That was one brilliant adorable moving write.
