I’ve bore my share
In the lessons in life to learn

And the times I cried
Oh how I cried
And how my heart did yearn

For the wasted years
And my long lost peers
I once left to my past

To escape the days
And forget the ways
The shadows then were cast

But like the rest
I failed the test
When time, it came my turn

But you would think
I’d swim or sink
But you know I never learned

It seems I never learned either my friend. As always, your poetry has such deep meaning. Well done once again. Larry

I thought it was good, first 3 lines would be my favorite part though.

Dear Wordsy, I seem to have missed you and you too my poems.. your message on the forum " ypdc best poet ' reflected my thoughts/ questions beautifully. and my concept of truth& time I have painted in my poems..if can find some time please go through my poem " sacrificial ground' and I will be very glad if poets like you read such poem.. thank you, this one shows your humbleness as well as the yearning of my heart..venkat

Well I read your verses
I too have curses
tho' heaven knows I've tried

To learn the way
to be "au fait"
and how to coincide

with others keep
in step to reap
the changes of the tide

alas no luck
my efforts suck
It looks like suicide
