And wonder about my life
Have I been a good mother?
Have I been a good wife?

Have things turned out
The way that I dreamed
Or am I living in an imaginary world
And things just are not what they seem.

I have tried to do
The very best that I could
But life doesn't always
Turn out the way it should.

You do your best
But you always hope for more
But you never know
What life holds in store.

If you could see into the future
And see how things will be
Would you do anything differently
After what you may see?

LIfe is not for us to change
But live it from day to day
And make the most of it
Come what may.

We are not perfect people
We just do the best we can
We have to learn to turn things over
And give it to "the man"

I just hope
In some small way
That my children have learned
To do the best they can each day.

To my husband one thing I want to say
I have always been true
And all my love
I have given to you.

So the answer to my question
If I have been a good wife and mother
I have done the very best that I could
And love them all like no other.

We are not here on this earth
To do everything right
Even though we try
With all of our might.

We are human
And we do make mistakes
And from them
The consequences we take.

So always do the best you can
And never give in
To thinking you are not worthy
Because you will never win.

I sit here sometimes
And wonder about my life

I like this alot. I can tell you poured alot into this poem: hope, fears, and love. Thank you for reminding me of why I read and write poetry.

"And when I fall asleep at night
let me drem of a land that's paradise
and when i wake up in the morning
help me bring a piece to earth"
