It sounds like the pitter patter of love on my heart.
The cool breeze that rides it's coat tails warms my soul with a grin of happiness.

The crackle of the ground absorbing each drop reminds me
of a small stream running through the mountainside.

The drops that fall hard on the pavement remind me of an
egg in a hot frying pan making me yearn for a family breakfast gathering.

The drops landing on the leaves of the trees
can be mistaken for a babbling brook.

It is dark so you cannot see the rain,
Only hear it.

No thunder, no lightening.
Just a lovely rain.

A rain that brings me to my soul.

Listen to that beautiful rain.

Soft,
Then hard,
Soft and hard,
Soft,
Drip, drip,
Then gone. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 27 [informant] => soulsongs [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

I have some kind of weird obsession with rain so , yeah , I loved , loved , loved your poem. It is raining where I am right now. Not to much thunder... just a little in the distance. I think you would love it. Don't you love family breakfast when it's raining. I like to prop open the door where I can see it rain as I sizzle bacon and eggs... and a good cup of coffee is perfect for rainy mornings. Anyways babbling.... btw I just posted a poem that has a link to a song made from it on youtube. I don't usually advertise but being that your a rain person like me I think you might enjoy it. Love your work , truly , Doug

Really liked how LIGHT this poem was. It wasn't really about anything serious, which was refreshing, since so much of life is overly serious. And like your other writes, great imagery and very unique style.
