Array ( [sid] => 173021 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The warmth of God [time] => 2012-06-15 03:39:17 [hometext] => I am not into religions, but I believe in God. [bodytext] => The sun is shining
i feel the rays upon my face.
It feels like passion
of God’s grace.

Standing there
head tilted back.
Face feeling warm
my smile to God is not an act.

The feeling is so pleasant
i slowly fall to one knee.
A feeling of his presence
i know it is he.

The sun has power
like the touch of God’s hand.
The feeling is overwhelming
enjoy it as much as you can.

As I kneel there
i hear something nearby.
It sounds like water
which makes me feel high.

With my eyes closed
i reach my hands about.
There is a touch of water
yes it’s water no doubt.

The feeling is wonderful
so much, I feel calm.
Slipping my hands in the water
picking it up with my palm.

A refreshing feeling
as I put the water on my face.
I pray to God for forgiveness
and ask for his grace.

As I open my eyes
i stand and smile towards the sun.
Squinting my eyes
i say dear Lord, my heart you have won.

God truly is Good and the way you expressed it in your poem was a total salute to God and his goodness.

Your poems never cease to amaze me. I read them over and over again and I can't wait until you post another one.

Thank you.

Jackie
