Array ( [sid] => 172959 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Mother [time] => 2012-06-11 18:58:46 [hometext] => This is a poem that I wrote in rememberance of my Mother. She passed away 3 years ago in February. We miss her terribly. [bodytext] => As I walk by the window
I happen to see
Someone is outside
Looking in at me.

My heart is racing
Can this be true
This person that I see
Mother, is it you?

I start to tremble
I can't believe this is real
If I close and open my eyes again
Will you be there still?

I miss you so much
Your voice I long to hear
Can it really be you
That is so close and near?

I stand so still
I'm frozen in place
I can't believe
That I can almost see your face.

Please come nearer
So that I can see
That it is really you
Outside my window looking at me.

I'm trying to think
Of what I can do
So that I can get
Closer to you.

If I leave this window
To come out and see
Will you still be there
Waiting for me?

So much I want to say
But all I really want to do
Is just to tell you how much
We all love and miss you.

I reach down to raise the window
So that you can come inside with me
But when I look up again
Your face I no longer see.

You are no longer standing there
And I start to cry
I cannot find you
No matter how hard I try

I run outside
And go to the place
Where you were standing
But you left no trace.

I call your name
And search for you
But I know you are gone
And there's nothing I can do.

I know you will come back
And when you do
I will be there at the window
Waiting for you. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 141 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Action567 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Your poem made me shed some tears. That is only possible when someone writes with true feelings. You put a lot of feeling into this poem and when it is read, the feelings flow through the words into ones mind. Thank you for sharing this poem!!!
