Enveloped in the obscurity of a non-existent sentiment
And yearning, in a manner not infrequent, to be irretrievably shattered
For ever so joyously I subject myself to your sweet torture
Laced hands
Your veins intertwined with mine
(Abrading the pallidness of the summer moon
It is the grievous shriek of the fictitious lovers)
Pressed to your body I count your hastened heart rate
As you enrapturedly swallow my tears
Inwardly aware of shame, irrationality and futility
May this, may this be the last farewell (uttered, withal, ever so incredulously)
Inasmuch as you gaze intently in the lusterless iris of my tearful eyes
The purposeful act of self-incineration
In an inconceivably agonizing fashion
Excoriating this frail skin
Your trembling lips
upon mine
Relentless, you breathe violently within my shivering body
Must I always yield to the torment of your tender embrace?
For if you do not stop kissing me
It is I who will be irretrievably shattered.
(the premeditated, voluntary blindness
When confronted with the imminent calamity)
Acknowledging indecision, anguish and non-existence.
Returning. Ever so gleefully returning.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
