& take a look around
I've made some bad desicion's
that always kept me down

I disgaurded my true life
with the thought's inside my head
it really does amaze me
that today I'm not dead

I still look in the mirror
still ashamed of what I see
right or wrong I do remember
it's the way I had to be

my life was never easy
not even way back then
the things I swore i'd never do
I did all over again

look at me then & see me now
my life is completely turned around
I hold my head up high
nobody see's me & looks down

I thank my wife & my children
for this life I love to see
no doupt they are my future
they are what I'm meant to be

now the man in the mirror
shows so much dignity & pride
after all he's put his life threw
& all the times he could of died

so take it from a man
who's seen lifes ups & downs
if you want your life to be better
then turn it all around

when I take a step back
& take a look around
I've made some bad desicion's
that always kept me down

I love this poem and how very true, hotshotpoet! It gets better...and better...and better, all it takes is you.
