Array ( [sid] => 172489 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Daddy [time] => 2012-05-14 00:07:40 [hometext] => A poem i wrote a couple years back its a simple poem about a little girl losing her father. have a read:) [bodytext] => A little girl with big hopes and dreams
She was caught up in fairy tales forgot all about reality
Until one day her world came crashing down
Her father was no longer around
Her hero was dead and gone
he wasn't coming home
The only best friend she'd ever known

Mommy trying to help her cope
But she herself was finding it hard to move on
Without him around it was difficult to stand strong
She looks up above asks God why,
Why did daddy have to go God
Why did you take his soul
He was suppose to be here to help me grow.

Whos gonna protect mommy and me
Daddy promised me a game of hide and seek
And bedstories to me he's suppose to read
What about the drawings I made for him, he didnt even get to see
Please God bring my daddy back
My hopes cannot be shattered this way
I need one more chance
To say the things that I didn't say.

This is sad :( I can also relate to this little girl. My Dad died when I was eight years old.

Nicely done.

Tim
