Winged upon their heart from firstborn,
A rose we give mothers with love.

Her wings earned,a carnation above,
Mothers with passion we adorn,
Sacred mothers a Heavenly Dove,

Through soft petals,or thorns thereof,
More happy times, and less of mourn,
A rose we give mothers with love.

Loyal mothers from the past,clove,
And to the future children born,
Sacred mothers a heavenly dove.

This day,mothers day,we behove,
And honor once a year reborn,
A rose we give mothers with love.

She's a rose,less the thorn remove,
Singing late eve,and early morn,
Sacred mothers a heavenly dove,
A rose we give mothers with love. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 317 [topic] => 26 [informant] => Wesley_Dale_Willis [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MothersDayPoems )

Day 2 No. 2 and we have to look up "Villanelle". You'll make a real poet out of me yet.

This had an almost Shakespearian flavour about it. Whilst I liked the sentiment (who wouldn't) I wasn't comfortable with the texture.
I felt it was too technical for the theme.

Get Wrybod! he who writes with courage born of ignorance.

Bob

PS There is a move afoot to form a group
of honest real poets who dislike "certain elements in YPDC who pen lurid, bloody ,
suicidal prose" which they post as poetry etc. etc

It is being organised by "Eternitys Lyre" a young chap who commands respect beyond his years.

I have taken the liberty of suggesting he gets in touch with you as a "possible valuable addition to our ranks"
(It's up to you of course)
