Array ( [sid] => 17239 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Frustration [time] => 2003-05-08 12:35:00 [hometext] => For some friends of mine who are busy, or scared, or ill, who cant make an effort to find time for a friend. [bodytext] => to you i am a friend, a pal, nothing more
although i have fantasised about more before
im over it now, and i do wanna be friends
i just hate it when us meeting always depends
on what your doing, or maybe doing, plans
plans of plans, guessing how far your free time spans

i always find myself asking for your time
since im alone for far too much of mine
you always say your life is empty and boring
if only you would notice the 'friend' you keep ignoring
you are who i talk to when im sad and low
only you know about the loneliness behind the show

as i keep asking to see you it begins to seem
that my idea of friendship is only a dream
and something i think should be made a crime
is the phrase 'ask me nearer the time'
as though they are waiting for something sweeter
than an hour or two with their forgotten friend, peter

but when plans are made solid, and you say
'would you like to meetup this wednesday?'
hopes get high, make a phone call on the day
'sorry, too ill, cant see you this way'
ahh, disappointment settles, like an old friend
one that stabs you in the back at the end

the last thing that annoys me, and im sure you too
is getting phone calls only for the convenience of you
only being contacted because you want something
do you know which emotion that phone call will bring?
because, even after all that, i still waited
can you understand why im feeling a little frustrated? Been there, felt that far too many times and, the reality is, I still go there often. :) I suppose some people just hold a power over us we cannot escape. :)

Very nice work. Thank you for sharing it.
