Words
Haven't been coveted
To you
From me
For so long
I'm sorry
Took a sabatical
Yeah
A vaction
And they just didn't
Have any computers
It was a nice break
Happy to be back
Writing for you
Expressing all I know
With words
So vague
And yet so vivid
Tellin' the story
Of my life
Over
And over again
Dreams
Nightmares
Thoughts
Imagination
Weave
Through some
But
They're all me
Just a middle class
White boy's
Words.

I
Bet your sick
Of hearing them
Again
And again
But
You keep reading on
And I keep writing
More
And more
Just can't stop
Can't be Adrian
Layin' useless
Without a voice
I got to write
I got to express me
In words
Unknown
To the blind beggar
Learned
Slowly by me
Through all the tears
And emotions
Rage
Don't condemn me
Cause
My words are true
No lies
Hidden beneath
Just words
Only words
My words
Though
You see.

Very nice, well written.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
