breaking completely in two
as i turned out the lights
holding a picture of you,
Mornings find my eyes swollen
from aimless crying,
My arms ache reaching
for what she has stolen,
You took a vow and said
we'd never part,
You said you loved me
with all your heart,
Were those just empty words
soon to be erased,
Now that someone else
has taken my place.
I dream about the day you wake up to find,
that what you left you needed all this time,
Til then, I'm on a bridge that's being burned,
afraid and wondering; is this a
lesson learned.
To see you drive away
with her hurt me so,
A fool in love with you,
who doesn't know how to let go. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 121 [topic] => 2 [informant] => Suzylnn [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LovePoetry )

I really liked this poem. It's never understood how a person can make that everlasting vow and demolish it in an instant. I send out my care and concern for anyone who would have to go through this.
Thank you for sharing,
Shae

Definitely not a good feeling. Best way to express is to let it go. There's something better waiting for those experiencing the same feelings. Great write!
