soft sand upon my feet
Walking in a place
where sea and land meet.

The cool wind is blowing
Sun shining on my skin
I gaze at the ocean
It is time to go in.

Forgetting all my worries
of this world in which I am.
Memories of this moment will be made
with my camera and video cam.

The salt water is a bit sticky
especially when it dries to my skin.
The view of the ocean was awesome
I just had to go in.

Breaking the barrier
between vision and what’s real
The moment was there
It was a moment to steal.

I proceeded to walk
into the waters of the sea.
Always aware
of the beauty of everything around me.

The waves rush around me
splashes of salt water from the sea.
Feeling so very happy
I brought my camera with me.

Taking pictures
many pictures of this awesome view
Taking so many pictures
to share all of them with you.

As I walk deeper
the waves are very strong.
It didn’t stop me
I slowly moved along.

Along came a big wave
knocking me off my feet.
Salt water went in my mouth
didn’t taste very sweet.

Rolling around in the water
my glasses slipped off my face.
Reaching for them with my hand
Lost forever, not leaving a trace.

Sometimes we must lose things
Without a reason that we know
I may have lost my glasses
but in the ocean again I will go.

I may have lost my glasses
but I have absolutely no regret.
Having the ability to enjoy this day
still makes me happy yet.

This world is so beautiful
the nature and the lay of the land
I thank the lord
I was able to walk in the ocean and leave footprints in the sand.

I so enjoy reading your poetry. I felt as thought I was walking along with the beach with you. I could picture everything that you wrote. We have so many similarities in our poetry.

Please keep writing and submitting your poems. They are very good.
