I've learned to hide the pain
For my kids I must be pure
I remember back to a time
they said I'd walk no more
I just said we will see
that's what love is for
I keep my mind wide open
with anything I do
it's the way to keep your sanity
when someone alway's hurt's more than you
this person that I speak of
we've been married for nine years
I use to think I did well
threw the blood,sweat & tears
back & forth to hospitals
noone ever finds a cause
it's starting to take it's toll on me
it never seems to pause
my mind can't take much more of this
I don't know what to do
it's a never ending battle
it's never something new
I'll just hold my head up high
& continue day by day
it really is'nt highlight's
but it really is my way

I have more metal in my body
than any human should endure
I've learned to hide the pain
For my kids I must be pure
