Should you chance upon this heavy heart, this loricate lump of love and muscle.
Would you hear, when prised apart, the wistful whispers of a thousand angels rustle?
Should you dance within it's haunted halls, complete with teardrop fountain,
would you leave light footfalls, and know I found my life to be a mountain?
Should you glance through the whetstone panes, of it's soul stained glass,
would you follow the same old lanes, towards a grabbled greener grass?
Should you chance upon this tender, loving misread heart, riddled with good intention,
would you say when prised apart, we are borne of our own invention?

I like this poem, because what you write is so true. Verry touching, and it seems to almost flows. Keep writing :-) |
