She looks in the mirror with a different perspective.
So now she stays away from her dreams cause she feels neglected.
Somehow her life changed when it wasn't expected.
Her future was bright, but now she's dark and disrespected.

Those words that escaped your lips.

Makes me wonder whether the person who said the hurtful words is just a jerk, or if it hurt so much because the words were true. The "How dare you know me?" angle is interesting. The "Why are you so mean?" angle seems either dishonest or incomplete.
