I Promise....

I promise never again,
Shall I cause you no pain.

No never in any form or fashion.
Not even bad thoughts for you I'll only be trashing.

And I never want to that.
Damn I'd rather eat my hat.

Anyway how does one trash the one you love?
It's beyond my comprehension it doesn't come from above.

I can't believe I was that kinda fool!
I'm so embraced I could dunk my head in a pool!

I know it's a big change.
And in time I will expand my range.

Yes to extend that Godly love to others.
Yes to strangers, friends, family even sisters and brothers.

For now I'm still learning.
How to be a good man and avoid the eternal burning.

So I promise never to hurt you.
Even should you feel the need to hurt me you're welcome to.

For true forgiveness means,
Putting your heart out on your sleeve and not hiding it behind seams.

I promise never again,
