[bodytext] => it's cold out, better snuggle up tight get yourself hidden, keep out of sight nightcap and nightgown, both are neatly worn a fire in the fireplace, to barely keep you warm what made that sound? who on earth knows as ghouls and goblins peer in windows a bump at the door gets you to your feet you creek down the hallway, with legs not so fleet at the top of the bannister, you stop and you stare with front door wide open, a dark form lingers there now it's back to your chamber, just as fast as you can what the hell was it? was it monster or man? thumps on the staircase, jump you into your bed you pull up the blankets, to let you cover your head whatever stumbled up is coming down the hall you don't wish to see it, not see it at all you pull the covers closer, you even start to pray you pray it's all a nightmare, that this form will go away just as you gain the courage to peek from under your coward's lair your alarm goes off, waking you up, with no man or monster there a sigh of relief, it was all just a dream, a bad one i truly must say get up young lad, stay clear of ghost stories, put that book on the shelf and away...
