My world has gone dark.
Shadows swallow my broken heart.
I am at home where no one can find me.
The shadows caress my body.
The silence fills my ears.
The shadows hide my tears.

It is good that you no longer feel that way :) but i agree that it is difficult to finish a poem when you are no longer feeling the emotion. Some of my best pieces were written spur of the moment when i was feeling an emotion very strongly.

i really like this overall.. i actually LOVE the 2nd line.. pretty awesome.. and yes.. although it's hard to go back and finish a poem, sometimes there are just some wonderful tidbits to find here and there.. looks like you found one.. take care..
