Array ( [sid] => 171230 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => BLACK DEATH [time] => 2012-03-10 04:34:31 [hometext] => [bodytext] => i could hear him, but could not see through the mist and fog
i could hear him gallop, but still i fought that visual bog
i felt the ground shake, as he seemed to pick up speed
i had dreamt of him, this unseen and unknown steed
i looked in utter terror, directly into the midnight abyss
its depth seemed so endless, an image i will never miss
i stood there totally still, not able to move at all
i wished to flee to safety, leave that morbid and macabre death ball
so swiftly and so suddenly, his hooves rumbled forward like a train
a form appeared then lightly, its edges dark, but it still seemed plain
in a short time i came to realize, that this ghost was not going to stray
at that moment he came right for me, and i wondered if i should pray
as his outline became more clear, and i could see in better detail
i realized my ghost was a demon, and he came here straight from hell
his eyes were burning bright red, he had smoke coming from his large nose
he seemed to be breathing out fire, my demise was quite near i supposed
he was black, blacker than anything before, so impossibly black
his mouth was gaping wide open, and i could hear his rotten teeth clack
just as i thought i'd met my end, at the moment i thought that he'd strike
he stopped and stood before me, we were both still and just alike
i could smell him then, he stank of disease and death
it came from over his body, and it came from his nasty breath
he studied me for a bit, then he stood up on hind legs
that's when i started to scream, closed my eyes and began to beg
when his front half came back down, it shook like a bomb in my face
the shock wave went right through me, covered that unholy nightmare place
he stared once more right at me, breathed a flame just over my head
he then turned around and bolted, actually it was more as if he fled
i watched as he disappeared, he seemed to be swallowed up whole
by the abyss that spewed him forth, by whatever has owned his soul
finally able to move, i found myself walking away
i traveled throughout the night, until it gave in to day
i'll forever remember what happened, i hope you believe what i've said
for you never want to wander, where the abyss may find you instead...

beautifully penned, you write dark so impeccably,
this has such excellent flow that once again it
held my interest all the way to the last brilliant
line; and when i looked back it was perfect rhyme, i'm not going outside tonight lol,

hugs n' love nessa
