a hunger to make the strongest eyes weep
i am thirsty, a thirst that needs quenched
a thirst that causes my fists to be clenched
will i remain here without being fulfilled
will i never get that which is willed
my heart sits here empty like a cage
one that once held an animal in rage
my soul mopes like a figure of gaunt
it is this lonely room that i shall haunt
with each hours passing, so do i pass
leaves me to wonder how long this will last
for i am empty and alone in this place
my head dizzy, my mind in a race
in this corner a lay in a huddled heap
as death from under the floor does creep
it is here to enslave, and take me away
i am sad 'cause i really had hoped to stay
but the life in me hangs by a single thread
i am inches away from what we all dread
as i slip into that awaiting realm
as death takes control, takes hold of my helm
i am steered into the starkest of realities
my demise has been slow, an awful calamity
goodbye cruel world, goodbye all
i must answer to death, answer it's call... [comments] => 1 [counter] => 63 [topic] => 32 [informant] => hray42 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

This is heart breaking to read.
I hope it is just writing and you are not thinking about suicide.:(

For people who have been on this site along time this will be the broken record part, but I will repeat it again........

I have been on the other end of suicide..... the one left behind, more than once.
I can tell you that it is one of the worst things to LIVE with....... There is a question, there is a loss and a hole that only partially fills over. Time, months, years, it doesnt fully go away.

enough said here.....

The poem is well written and very emotional. I feel it and I understand those feelings. I have learned when there seems nothing left, you need to fight your way through it, whatever it is........ make yourself get up, get moving, write, exercise, smile even if you are crying. Trials seem to linger forever but you know what? You are NEVER alone........ and it all will pass, and you find a new calm, strength......... and you can do it!!!!!!!!! I hope this helps.

Hugs
Michelle
