I feel so dead, but can still feel the pain shooting through my body.
I can feel my stomach drop like a brick in water.
Some times you just want to get lost, but some how you always find your way back to the place you DON'T want to be.
I want to just break out of this skin and be someone different.
But how can I do that as a perfect child? you've got to hide everything.
Like there's a jar inside of you, but the cracks are starting to spread along the side and everything spills.
Like you're going to break. And then everyone can be disappointed when they find out who you REALLY are.
But that's okay.
It happens to the best of us I guess.
We all just have to break.
Like a doll. You can draw makeup on it's face and then you find out it looked so much better before.
People always say, "The future, the future what about the future?!" And yeah, maybe they're right. Maybe in the future everything will work out, but now is the present and it sucks.
It's our own little Cold War, Just sitting there waiting for something to happen.
When your life kind of feels like playing a piano with the keys missing, or losing a talent show you KNOW you can win.
But I guess that's how it is in our own little Cold War.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
