He skips through the trees
silent and soft.
down by the lake
on a carpet of moss.

A few sips of water
he raises his head.
A pheasant takes flight
the deer has fled.

He returns to the meadow
enjoying the sun.
Bouncing over streams

The sun beats down
the sky is clear.
nothing stirs
