Ocean Breaths

Contributed by nluchett on Monday, 20th February 2012 @ 06:24:52 PM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

The motions of water breathes out on the shore,
Inhaling, it recedes deep into the depths of liquid from before,
We take it for granted, a missed signpost,
Mother Nature follows suit on the banks of her coasts.

She breathes in the morning at first light,
Exhales in the mist, while her waves reach higher heights,
Some places require deeper breaths of love,
Others gentle, like the spiritual flights of a dove.

Our mortal skin will one day take its last breath,
Some say it is our final death,
But our spirits continue on, exhaling on the banks of the shore,
Inhaling, receding deep into the depths of liquid from before.

nice, your words remind me of when I was little living right near the beach. :)

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
