the look on her face
what a huge surprise
twenty pairs of eyes were on her
she was stunned into silence that is for sure
there on bended knee was the love of her life
waiting for the answer of would she be his wife
emotions she could not hide
would she, could she be his bride
he looked at her
and didnt say a word
all around her nothing could be heard
there was a stillness in the air
his eyes searching hers
a life with her he wanted to share
many deep breaths this girl did take
what a big decision this was to make
at long last she said the words that would change her life
and with a huge smile
she said I would love to be your wife
shouts of joy went all around
for on this day true love was truly at last to be found
into his arms she flew and he held her tight
and in their hearts they knew the choice was right
