Sing anthems, hymns and songs of fervent praise
To Mary virgin mother full of grace
Most sweet and tender mother of our Lord
Who gave her “yes” when she heard Gabriel’s word

Bright holy vessel, sacred spotless shrine
In whose confines the Lord chose to recline
The Lord our God of power infinite
Took in the humble maiden His delight.

O dearest mother of the Lord we pray
Be beacon bright on our pilgrims way
Give from your merits’ jewels just a beam
To light the arduous path that leads to Him

Mater Misericordia!- mother mine,
What mother would not want her children shine?
Queen of celestial beings high - to you
We bring these humble flowers white and blue

Forget-me-nots - - Lode Star, resplendent guide;
Succor Perpetual in storm and night,
Hope’s Morning Star compassionate and sweet
Take our hands and intercede and lead
Upon narrow path that leads to joy
To Him, you called your Darling Little Boy

Thank you Christina for the lovely comment.
I searched for this pic. with the google, but took a while practising the script combinations. Varies an aweful lot.
Thanks again

Beautiful poem. She was the Mother of mothers, because she was CHOSEN to be.
Elizabeth, - as a good Catholic, what do you think of Bishop Spong? Read my poem - Bishop of the world, and tell me what you think. God bless.
Lionel
