There's an eating-place in Hamilton where seats are never cold;
where soup's the choice for purists, and cream cakes tempt the bold.
And happily they stand in line, though one or two will frown;
but even moanin-minnies know it's the best wee spot in town.
An ambience and fanfare of humankind profusion,
they're chatting whilst they're smarting for some stimulus infusion
from skinny lattes, double-shots, and teapots on the boil;
to a symphony of hustle-bustle, steam, and honest toil.
The orchestra attending is the waiting staff elite,
still resolutely functioning when weary on their feet.
So many of their clientele are friends with smiley faces,
and patience reigns with the ill-disposed, and those with airs and graces.
Faux leather corner units for the beautiful and benign,
or trendy chairs and tables for the faithful and the fine.
Though life's the stuff of variables, one constant here remains ....
their finest blends of caffeine shots will liven up the veins!

Oh to have the master back again! this is an absolute delight and having supped a coffee or a hundred with the author then I know that throughout the warmth of this wonderfully descriptive nook of indulgence is the warmth of his heart and the lesson to us all of how to make rhyme look so natural.

In coffee stimulation, in tea, contemplation. Nice one, spud. So many coffee places are order and go, with the atmosphere of a Maccas - good to see you have a great local.
I've found a local one that's has great coffee, laid back atmosphere except for the occasional screeching kids with their 'babychinos' (sigh). Can't seem to have it all (memo to God...)
