Blatantly braving the weather
Two wounded souls out there,
on the road together
Where so many times the dividing lines,
leave a heart broken forever
Two hearts alone through the endless night,
and living life out here on the road
As cold as a stone, in search of the light, and
dragging this old heavy load
Will our hearts pay the price as we both sacrifice
Everything in the name of love, and
With all that at stake, if we can bend
and not break, or drown in the tears we cry, and
If our heads don't go under,
and we don't steal no thunder, maybe
this love will never die too, because
Love lives when it's true
Out there on the edge, is just another step
closer to nowhere, too much time on our hands,
and not one minute left to spare
As we blur all the lines, and miss the warning signs
A wounded heart always needs repair, and
It all comes down to me and you, and
the outcome will come out in all that we do
So we try to survive, and keep love alive,
it's all we know how to do, because
Love lives when it's true
With all that's at stake, if we bend and not break,
Or drown in all these tears we cry, and
If our heads don't go under, and
We steal no ones thunder, maybe
this love will never die too, because
Love always lives when it's true
Yeah, love lives when it's true
