Array ( [sid] => 170193 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My tree [time] => 2012-01-15 00:30:35 [hometext] => I wrote this to depict my take on that my life is built on my sole belief in truth and experiencing life while embracing the knowledge that I can't always live off of that truth in the real world. [bodytext] => Can you paint it just the way it is
no curley cues or highlights

can you make them see whats in and whats out
the pretty and the ugly

it's all beautiful
which ever way you wanna show
all that counts is that it's truth
and only truth can grow.

It's a tree that knots and curls
all up on it's own.
It's ugly ugly battle scars
the ones you hate and love.

I wanna brush it on my skin and feel the scratch that's real
Feel the dirt and rolling roots where I chose to fall and kneel.
To climb her branches and endure the bruising
the scraping and the fight
I'll stay with her my lovely tree
rain or sun and always day and night

It's old.
It's wise.
It's survived the test of time.
And what matters most to me is that it's only mine.
I made it, formed it,
breathed life into her branches
It bears my mistakes
My acomplishments
It bore my enemies and romances

And when the weight of truth's responsibilty has finally taken it's toll-
When my tree leans and falls next to me-
May my screams drown out it's toppling
May my tears be the burial washing
May I find something stronger to keep me walking on. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 62 [topic] => 73 [informant] => samray33 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )
