Of mistakes I’ve made, and lives upset.
The error was mine, to correct I long,
To put right, what once went wrong.

That day was sunny, unseasonably warm,
I had no idea, my life would transform.
Our relationship worked, after a fashion,
The only thing lacking, a spark of passion.

Maybe thats why, when temptation came calling,
Instead of a no, I found myself stalling.
And when I agreed, to betrayal and lust,
I spared not a thought, for your broken trust.

In the end I was caught, the betrayer, betrayed,
You were destroyed, by the cruelty displayed.
Our relationship over, you left the same day,
That beautiful morning, in early May.

If I could go back, to one point in time,
To change one small thing, this would be mine.
I’d change my past, and defy the urge to cheat,
If I had then, maybe now, my life would be complete.

Whoa!! I sincerely hope this is fictional. You have described this world wide reality of life so vividly it pulled me in to regret it with you. Thanks for sharing. If indeed it is not fictioanl, good luck!!

So many things in the past, so many mistakes. Deep stuff, you express it well.

Its the love that`s lost not the chance / person Keep loving. Words can pull it back share the below:
Only one life will soon be past
Only what`s done for love will last
I wish you lay on my laps as sweet honey
You are only for me only for me
