You came to me in a dream
Last evening
You were a luna moth
Pale, naked, bathed in green
Though angels lent you wings,
You chose not to fly
And though in mortal coils,
You refused to die
And you raged, quietly,
To carve out of the dusk
Your very purpose
Still I could not see you cry
And when the night came
And finally claimed you
In the darkness, you were, at last
You.
