Words Stalk

I'm really not much of a talker
Prefer to be quiet most days
Words can be such stalkers
If you don't mind what you say

Words spoken in haste and anger
When fired from your lips like a gun
They can put your soul in danger
Force you to hide your face from the sun

Words issued without any thought
Damage the universe of compassion
Redemption and repair can't be bought
Best to temper them with a little vision

Before the water flows from your lips
Consider doing a little pre taste
Sweeten the sounds with a sugar dip
Don"t let your thoughts go to waste

Whatever the words you choose to speak
You have the power to build or destroy
You can create a world strong or weak
Words have substance and are not toys

I really like this, the flow is very good and the point is a really valid one. words have the power to hurt or help and as writers we should all think extra carefully about the words we use. Great write

Words have substance and are not toys - truer words were never spoken! Incredibly well written, thank you!
