But I'm so numb it doesn't make a difference
I haven't slept or eaten in so long I feel like I might die
A slow, painful death might be more pleasant
For the past week I haven't been awake or asleep
I feel like I'm stuck in limbo, miserable and defeated
My mind has long since shut down
My body can't feel anything
Light and colors seem dull
It feels like I'm not in my own body
Everything is so far away
Temperature has lost its meaning, everything is cold
I can't comprehend the simplest ideas
Music has lost its flare
The only thing that remains is a want, a desire to sleep
And suddenly, one extra dark night, I am drowning in my own thoughts
And I let go
All hope was lost
I cried
After I let go of everything, I could sleep
I have never experienced anything so peaceful [comments] => 1 [counter] => 127 [topic] => 60 [informant] => Oliverjhenry13 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => insomniac )
