When did we forget life's love song
When did we grow from us to I
When did the future begin to die

When did we forget the child
When did the adults' beliefs go wild
When did it only matter for the wants of one
When did that outweigh the needs of some

When did family become of no use
When did daily life become obtuse
When did mother, father become so faded
When did I become so jaded

I pray that there is still some time
To make this sorry period rewind
Come on world, wake up your heart
Believe in your children, for a start

Parents, those who wish to walk away
Think of your children, for one day
Relish in the wonder and joy they can give
Make this a better world in which they can live

When we begin to open our minds and souls
When we make a chariable life our goal
When we give our future a helping hand
When we realize we're all children of one Man

I see that world in blazes of gold and bright
I see our children dancing in love's light
I see adults beginning to finally understand
Wouldn't living in that life be so grand

I really enjoyed this read. I find myself continuously giving up hope on a peaceful future world, but deep down I know a day will come where we will all live in peace and harmony. Thanks again for the read!
