Learning To Lose

Why is losing so hard to take?
Saids nothing of the person, nor character break.
So why do we strive with all our might,
To be the winner of every fight?
Why can’t we be content to not finish first?
Learn to enjoy the game, for better or worse.
Why get angry in the fear you might lose?
To be the winner, is what anyone would choose.
But only one person can claim a victory won,
When winning is everything, you lose sight of the fun.
So don’t take yourself so seriously, in everything you do,
Winning isn’t as important as seeing things through.
Then everyone will see you as the victor in life,
One who wins in the war against strife.
